Lloyd’s has decided to commission two new memorials in honour of those who lost their lives in the services of the nation in the Great War and the Second World War. The memorials are being set in the Leadenhall Street frontage of the original façade of the 1928 Building, which has just been completely renovated.

To mark the occasion, His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester and Lord Levene will unveil the new memorials, and the Rt Rev and Rt Hon the Bishop of London will officiate at the dedication. In addition the three Armed Forces will parade with the Band of the Blues and Royals and the State Trumpeters. The Lloyd's Choir will also perform during the ceremony.

The War Memorial is a tribute, not only to those brave men who lost their lives, but also to every man and woman who contributed to the protection of Lloyd's, and the surrounding areas, during both wars.
