Colin Edelman QC has been the Head of Devereux Chambers since 2002, a chambers which specialises in Insurance Law, Tax, Employment Law and Personal Injury. Colin’s principal areas of practice are insurance and reinsurance and professional negligence (relating in particular to insurance and reinsurance brokers).

He has specialised in these areas for over 20 years and developed a detailed understanding of the practices of the London and international insurance and reinsurance markets. He regularly sits as an arbitrator on insurance and reinsurance arbitrations.

Colin is the Editor of “The Law of Reinsurance” (OUP, 2005) and is a contributor to “Insurance Disputes” (LLP, 2003). He was awarded the Chambers & Partners Insurance Silk of the Year for 2007.
