The Chairman of Lloyd’s Charities Trust, Graham White, invites you to join him at a debate on liability risks for companies operating in high-risk zones. The event in being held in association with International Alert, an independent peace-building organization that works with communities affected by violent conflict, and Fafo, the Norwegian peace-building centre.
International Alert have produced a red flags guide to help companies avoid the pitfalls of operating in high-risk zones. In 2007, Lloyd's Charities Trust donated its annual award of £50,000 to the Red Flags Guide.
The debate will examine the legal liabilities of a company operating internationally and some of the elements of working in and with areas affected by violence. The speakers are:
