Paul Watchman
Practicing law for more than 30 years, Paul Watchman has represented a large number of industrial conglomerates in selling and buying businesses around the globe. This has involved multi-jurisdictional and complex due diligence and the negotiation of lengthy and detailed environmental and other forms of identification and protection for clients.
Paul has advised a large number of energy companies on the development, disposal, acquisition, and decommissioning of power stations, coal, gas, CHP, CCGT, biomass and biofuel, and gas storage facilities. He has advised major energy, oil and gas clients, financial institutions, and purchasers and sellers of carbon credits and on litigation matters including climate change litigation.
Paul was recently named by the Ethical Corporation as one of the six key figures in the development of sustainable finance and has authored and co-authored a number of papers on environmental issues.
