Stephen Moverley Smith QC
Stephen was called to the Bar in 1985 and became a QC in 2002. He has worked extensively in the fields of international commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular emphasis on the offshore jurisdictions of the Cayman Islands and the BVI.
He was heavily involved in litigation arising from the collapse of the housing market in the early 1990s and the Russian rouble crisis of 1998. While maintaining a busy commercial and insolvency practice in London, more recently he has focused on joint venture disputes arising from the emerging markets of Africa, China and Russia.
