Lloyd's in Sweden
Lloyd’s is licensed in Norway to write all classes of business except credit, surety and term life and is best known locally as a market for marine and energy risks.
The Norwegian market is the 11th largest source of revenue for Lloyd’s globally and the premiums generated by Norwegian policyholders in 2008 amounted to approximately USD 258 million, 62 % of which is direct insurance and 38 % is reinsurance.
Lloyd’s Underwriters work closely with brokers and local underwriting agents (coverholders) and offer tailor-made insurance products for large risks.

Erik spent 16 years as an insurance broker, 12 of which were with Willis in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Before joining Lloyd’s, Erik was Senior Vice President, Head of Risk Management and Specialities at Marsh AB, Sweden. He graduated from Law School at the University of Uppsala and spent a year in Oslo at the Scandinavian Institute for Maritime Law studying maritime law, marine insurance and petroleum law.
Erik’s primary focus is on strengthening Lloyd's existing relationships, and developing new ones with insurance buyers in the Swedish and Nordic market.
Erik is responsible for Lloyd’s activities in the Nordic region including Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. The premiums generated by Nordic policyholders in 2008 amounted to approximately USD 550 million, 63 % of which is direct insurance and 37% is reinsurance.
