The Dutch market is an important source of income for Lloyd’s, generating an annual premium income is in excess of Euro 200Million, 30% of which is reinsurance. Lloyd’s specializes in marine and property business, and is also very active in complex risks and niche classes.
Lloyd’s operates in The Netherlands under the single license principle and is regulated in the UK by the Financial Services Authority. Lloyd’s is not authorized in The Netherlands to provide life, pension insurances or quality assurance surveys.
