Lloyd's in Ireland

Lloyd's is licensed to write all classes of business except permanent health insurance in Ireland.

The Irish market is the 13th largest source of revenue for Lloyd’s globally and the premiums generated by Irish policyholders in 2008 amounted to approximately €136 million, 70% of which is direct insurance and 30% is reinsurance. In Ireland, Lloyd’s is best known as a market for large commercial risks in respect of property and casualty classes of business.

Lloyd’s Underwriters work closely with brokers and local underwriting agents (coverholders) and are able to offer tailor-made insurance products for large risks and binding authorities.

Lloyd’s Ireland is the representative office of Lloyd’s of London and is located in Dublin.
