Alexis Fontein has been acting as Lloyd’s Underwriters’ General Representative in the Netherlands since 1985 and in 1999 assumed similar responsibility in Belgium. The current focus is the business development in both countries. Alexis also heads his own shipping company in Rotterdam under the style of Hudig & Veder. This firm has had links with Lloyd’s which date back to 1818.
