Arbitrator's awards are published only to the parties involved in an arbitration hearing, thus maintaining an important confidentiality. The LOF Digest therefore offers valuable information not only to those with a general involvement in LOF matters, but also to those simply interested in the law related to salvage.
The latest version of the LOF Digest is published in a newsletter format which is sent out via email and hard-copy. Subscribers are provided with a Digest folder in which to store the newsletters. To subscribe to the LOF Digest either print off and complete the order form (236KB, pdf) and return it to the Salvage Arbitration Branch or email Diane Bowles.
The previous edition of the LOF Digest (the 4th Edition) is also available for purchase from the Salvage Arbitration Branch. This Digest, in a book format, covers LOF cases heard in arbitration from the introduction of LOF 1980 until May 2001 and can be obtained from the Salvage Arbitration Branch.
