Lloyd's VAT arrangements - update

Lloyd's VAT arrangements have now been updated to reflect the successful outcome of the VAT Tribunal decision on supplies made by members' agents under the Members' Agent's Agreement. The arrangements also include the change in VAT accounting procedure that is effective for all syndicates for the quarters ended 31 December, 2003 onwards and some minor tidying up. This document, which has been agreed with Customs and Excise, gives a framework and guidance for the treatment of VAT, including VAT recovery, for all entities within the Lloyd's market.
