At an Extraordinary General Meeting held on 21 May 2008, the membership of Lloyd's of London consented to the proposals to amend the Lloyd's Act 1982 as described in the Consultation Document issued by HM Treasury in March 2008 and summarised in a letter sent to all members of Lloyd's by the Chairman of Lloyd's on 7 March 2008.
