The changes in functionality to the classes of business and risk codes section of the website will not have an immediate impact on the way that you use the system.
Start and end dates have now been implemented which will allow Lloyd's to better manage the introduction of any new classes of business or risk codes in the future. When you create a new binding authority the list will automatically be filtered to those classes and codes that are valid at the time, by default this will be the current date.
If you enter a date in the past, or future, for which different classes and codes are available the list will be updated when you click on Confirm. The system will also check to ensure that the classes and codes you have selected are valid when you confirm the details of the binding authority at the end of the registration process.
This will give us the ability to ensure that both classes and codes are updated promptly and accurately.
