Atlas

Atlas is an online market system that makes the process of managing coverholders faster and more efficient, whilst raising standards.

Atlas is a secure web-based system that will act as an electronic filing and online application system for coverholders. The system has been designed and built with the participation of managing agents and Lloyd’s brokers in addition to the full support of the LMA and LIIBA.

What does Atlas do?

Atlas replaces all of the current coverholder related paper processes and will allow users to complete:

  • New coverholder applications, including branch applications.
  • Annual compliance data that can be made available to all interested parties.
  • Changes to approved coverholder information and permissions.


It is only this compliance and permission based data that can be accessed by other agents and brokers where they have registered an interest with the coverholder. Any confidential commercial information that a firm may upload onto Atlas can be restricted to ensure other firms do not have access to that information.

Terms & Conditions 

When a Lloyd's brokers or managing agent makes an application for an employee to be a devolved administrator, they are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Atlas website.

Devolved administrators (super users)

When a broker or managing agent signs up to use the Atlas website, they must nominate a devolved administrator (a super user). We recommend that a company has two super users. It is also recommended that the super user is someone who deals with coverholders rather than a member of the company's IT Department.

 

Changing Super user/new super user

The super user's main responsibilities are:

  • To create and delete users for the Atlas website for their company
  • To ensure persons are appropriate to be added as Users
  • To help their users with any problems they face on the website with registration.



Problems using Atlas


Atlas website queries
The web site contains help pages. If these pages do not answer your questions, please contact your devolved administrator. If your devolved administrator cannot help you, they should pass all users' queries to the Delegated Authorities Team.


Technical difficulties

If the super user is experiencing technical difficulties (eg they have forgotten their password or PIN that enables them to enter the super user website) they should call the Coverholder Systems help desk on +44 (0)20 7327 6276.
