Tony Joseph, Western Regional Director of Lloyd's America
As Western Regional Director, Tony runs the Los Angeles office and oversees broker education and relations. Tony frequently conducts presentations for brokers on the Lloyd's Market in order to assist brokers understand better what the Lloyd's market is and how it works.
Tony has more than 47 years in the insurance/reinsurance industry. He began his career in the Lloyd's market in London as an American casualty broker with Sedgwick Collins & Co Ltd, and then went on to be an underwriter at the R.A. Edwards Syndicate at Lloyd's. Since 1978, Tony has enjoyed an extensive career in the US as a reinsurance underwriter, a reinsurance broker and a surplus lines broker. Most recently, he was a Senior Vice President at Guy Carpenter & Co Inc in Los Angeles.
Tony joined Lloyd's America, Inc in September 2004. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Insurance (ACII) and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and is the past President of the Intermediaries & Reinsurance Underwriters Association (IRU) of America.
