For this year's Open House Lloyd’s is holding a photography competition for the ‘Best Lloyd’s picture’ taken on the day. Each photograph will be judged on their technical, artistic and aesthetic qualities and the winner will receive an exciting prize. Terms and conditions for the competition can be found below.
If you are attending this years Open House and would like to enter a photo you can do this at the Lloyd's Open House group on the photosharing site Flickr. If you are new to Flickr you can find detailed instructions on how to get started in the group discussion.
Good luck!
Competition terms and conditions:
1. Entries will only be accepted through the Lloyd’s Open House group on www.flickr.com/groups/lloydsopenhouse2008. All photographs must have been taken on Open House (20 September 2008) and submitted by the closing date.
2. The closing date for entries is 30 September 2008.
3. The photographer must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of their entries. No more than 10 photographs may be submitted by any one person.
4. Lloyd’s will not be liable for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant’s ability to participate.
5. By entering the competition, you accept that your photograph(s) may be exhibited on www.lloyds.com and your name will be published alongside it. Lloyd’s cannot guarantee that all photographs will be used and Lloyd’s reserves the right not to display all entries.
6. The decision of Lloyd’s on all matters relating to the competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered into at any stage.
7. Photographs submitted to the competition will be used in conjunction with the competition and any associated promotion. In contributing to the photography competition you agree to grant Lloyd’s a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish and otherwise use your photographs in any way Lloyd’s wants and in any media for Lloyd’s promotional or business purposes. It is important to note, however, that you still own the copyright in the photographs you submit to Lloyd’s.
8. Entry is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions.
