Human Resources is headed by Suzy Black who is responsible for setting Lloyd’s HR strategy in line with Key Business Priorities. HR aims to support the business and employees by developing and adopting a range of strategies, expert advice and operational services to ensure that the Corporation gets the best from its employees.

In order to attract and retain first class employees, HR is working to ensure that our employment package and experience reflect best practice. We want our employment relationship to be ‘Best in Class’ so that we are recognised as an Employer of Choice by our existing employees and within the broader external Market.

The HR strategy is centred on 5 strategic themes:

Human Resources is made up of the following teams:

HR Business Partners and Employee Relations & Operations
Lead by: Craig Pattison
Responsible for HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations and HR Operations. HR Business Partners act as the primary HR contact for designated business areas providing leadership, support and development on all aspects of the People Agenda and takes responsibility for HR activities.

Employee Relations provides expertise in the area of employment legislation, HR policies and procedures and best practice. Proactively managing employee relations activities, policy frameworks, HR operations and ensuring changes to legislation are implemented efficiently.

Talent and Development
Responsible for Recruitment, leadership development, learning initiatives, organisational development, succession & talent management, graduate recruitment and performance management.

Pensions
Lead by: Julie Drew
Leads the Pension team and ensures effective administration of the Scheme to comply with legislative requirements and Scheme rules. Provides secretariat service to the Trustees of Lloyd’s Pension Scheme and ensures all Scheme members are informed of Scheme activity.

HR Service Centre
Lead by: Susan Pearson
Leads the HR Service Centre team to provide HR administration services to Lloyd’s employees. Manages the administration processes to support the delivery of HR cycle, new joiners/leavers, monthly payroll, salary reviews & bonus review and flexible benefits scheme. 

Reward and Benefits
Lead by: Sarah Jefferys
Provides specialist advice to the business on all aspects of Reward and Benefits. Responsible for the delivery and implementation of the global Reward & Benefits strategy that meets the requirements of the business.
