Lloyd’s launched an appeal on 18 June to find relatives of war heroes associated with Lloyd’s who lost their lives during the two World Wars.
434 men from Lloyd's died in combat during the two wars and Lloyd’s would like to trace the relatives of those who died so they can join in the commemoration event.
Lloyd’s Chairman, Lord Levene, will be joined by His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester and the Bishop of London.
Lord Levene said:
The event on 2 July will commemorate the brave actions of those who served both the market and their country. It will be a unique opportunity to recognise their roles and the contribution played by Britain’s armed forces and their families.”
