Word Alive! at The National Theatre
Lloyd’s Community Programme opens up new experiences to children, supporting projects that enhance and extend the national curriculum.
One example is the National Theatre’s storytelling programme, introducing children to live theatre and bringing words to life through Word Alive! Storytelling is a great way to learn about language, word-play and stories, and hundreds of children benefit from across East London each year.
Our travel bursaries also make it possible for hundreds of children in Tower Hamlets to explore new experiences outside of the inner city. Adventures have included trips to various outdoor activity centres around the country, enhancing what they learn at school.
