About Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund

From the Napoleonic Wars to current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan,  Lloyd's Patriotic Fund has provided unbroken service to serving and ex-service men, women and their families for over two hundred years.

The nature of military engagements might have changed over the intervening years but the importance of providing practical support for those who have made great sacrifices on behalf of their country remains as important now as it was in 1803 when Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund was established by the Lloyd’s market.

Today, Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund works closely with SSAFA Forces Help to identify the individuals and their families who are in urgent need of financial support.  To read more about some of their stories, click here.

Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund has also responded this year with significant support for an important major project to enable families of injured service men and women to stay near by to their loved ones who are receiving emergency treatment or recovering in one of the military medical establishments.  To find out about this ‘Homes from Home’ project, click here.
