Development opportunities

During your career at Lloyd’s, you’ll constantly be learning. We want our graduates to be intricately involved with important, global issues in the coming years.

There’s much we’ll do to help you, but by the same token, we’ll expect you to help yourself too. How far you go and how much you develop depends on how much responsibility you take for your own career.

Professional qualifications
To help you really understand Lloyd’s, you’ll take – within your first three months – the Lloyd’s and London Market Introductory Test (LLMIT), which explores how business is conducted here, and the roles and responsibilities of all those involved. You’ll also undertake the CII Diploma in Insurance, which, over the course of several modules, will build your expertise in insurance.

It’s fair to say we place a high value on such qualifications, and we’ll make sure you get both the time off to study and take the exams, and the funding you need to take the relevant courses and buy your study materials.

Lloyd’s Leadership Programme
We’re always on the lookout for people with exceptional potential. Because, quite simply, we don’t want it to go to waste. That’s why we’ve developed and designed, in conjunction with the London Business School, the Lloyd’s Leadership Programme – a world class programme that gives our highest fliers a valuable opportunity to develop the qualities they need to become an outstanding business leader.
